Yanco is a Riverina township 578 km s-w of Sydney where the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA) was established. It is home to the Yanco Agricultural High School (2 km south), Agricultural Institute (825 ha) and Yanco Weir, ideal for watersports. Powerhouse Museum (Binya St) Open (10am-4pm).
